Why you should join Agapé

At Agapé we believe that love is everything. It’s the foundation of all things good in humanity, the catalyst for societal progress, and the nucleus of human desire. Love is an incredibly important part of health and happiness. So it’s of vital importance to help as many people as possible to feel + show love. In order to reach billions, we will have to be strategic. This type of growth will not happen overnight. But with disruptive innovation, data-informed decision-making, and keeping love at the core of everything we do, we will reach levels beyond our imagination.

We've started by creating a relationship wellness app for couples that nurtures both physical and emotional intimacy. Couples start their day with a daily question designed to spark meaningful conversation. For example, "Describe a time you were thankful to have your partner by your side to help you through something difficult." Then, when both users respond, they are able to see each other's responses. Although on the surface this seems very simple, it actually represents a powerful intersection between psychology and technology. The result is measurable: 97% of couples who use Agapé report that it positively affects their relationship.

We grew from 1K installs to over 170K installs in less than a week. This garnered the attention of several notable investors and earned us accelerated early admission into Y Combinator’s Summer 2021 batch. Additionally, we have hundreds of paying subscribers. In less than a month, our revenue is able to support all of our expenses outside of management salaries.

Initially, we're targeting the 14M American couples in long-distance relationships. Since we charge $15 per month per couple, this segment alone represents a $2.5B market opportunity. Ultimately, we will serve all couples by creating new ways to say "I love you.”

Growing our company will be like building a home. At the foundation, there is design. The house - which are the walls, furniture, and even appliances - is the product. This is a great representation of complexity. Last, but certainly not least, is the windows and doors: marketing. Marketing is what will allow people to come in and see the beauty of what we have created.
