We are looking for a Head of Social & Community to continue empowering the Alinea community and social channels as the go-to resource for GenZ investing and financial knowledge. At the core, this role is about 1) creating outstanding content and programming that engages as well as educates our community, and 2) creating an inclusive space where our members can come together to learn about investing. Conversations and knowledge are a critical part of our members’ investing journeys - and you’ll be at the center of all the action.
About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious, fast-moving, strategic and creative individual who will address customer needs to build the best investing community for the next gen.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and lead social media channels including Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter, LinkedIn and Slack - inserting our community first thinking to everything we do
- Drive the social content, influencer/creator, and amplification strategy to meet marketing goals
- Identify real-time social moments that insert Alinea into culture to drive the brand conversation forward
- Lead community management efforts—including social insights, community management, surprise & delight moments, giveaways, and user-generated content curation
- Build and lead measurement plan; establish KPIs and deliver regular reports with comprehensive metrics and actionable insights to optimize content performance and future campaigns
- Stay on top of cultural, community, media, and market trends to inform strategic and creative development for campaigns; own relationships with social agencies and platforms (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), gaining access to emerging features and technologies
- Expand our social footprint by entering new platforms in a meaningful way for our community and brand
- Unlock reach and conversion synergies by implementing paid + organic strategy across platforms
What we look for
- 2+ years experience in community building and/or social media marketing
- Experience with Instagram & TikTok, with the ability to build out campaigns, videos, and evergreen content that grows followers and engagement
- Whiz at creative production with a track record of working with creators, photographers, designers, and with new media formats to generate engaging content. Bonus if you have experience in financial services & fintech
- Exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal instincts. From feed posts to DMs to community threads, you can strike the right tone at the right time
- Meticulous organization. Mastery of social media planning, management, and listening tools. The ability to manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines. Nothing falls through the cracks
- Analytical thinking and the ability to translate community conversation, engagement, and feedback into content planning and product recommendations. You are comfortable with numbers and various tactics to achieve the metrics tied to business goals
- Genuine joy in supporting people through community, conversation, and information. You want to be the person that everyone knows when they think of community at Alinea
