Software Engineer (Full-Time or Contractor)

Alpha Vantage is a Y-Combinator backed software company that is building the definitive platform for the next generation of financial market participants. Our APIs are used by a global base of developers and investors in both the private and public sectors. We are looking for a Software Engineer in either full-time or contractor capacity for an AI & data related project on AWS.

If you do not have experiences with AWS Lambda or SQL databases, please do not apply.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Proficient computer skills, including programming in languages such as python and JavaScript. Must have demonstrated proficiency in at least one programming language and demonstrate a willingness to learn others. Need to have initiative to learn new programming languages and technologies on your own
• Must be proficient in modern version control and CI/CD frameworks
• Knowledge of AWS cloud computing (especially Lambda) is required
• Knowledge of SQL database is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed and able to work without supervision
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
