The next generation of employee compliance
Us Argus, a Y Combinator B2B fintech/regtech, is hiring for Business & Ops as we scale our business side. Our product is the first employee trade compliance software for digital assets and securities. In other words, have you been or do you have any friends working in banking, consulting, law, or audit? You’ve probably heard them complain about how hard it is to know what they can and can’t trade - well, we want to make that seamless. After experiencing the challenges of compliance as junior employees, we set out to build something better for everyone. And in the process, we’re combating insider trading, working with the US government to do so.
In just over a year, we’ve been through Y Combinator, and raised ~$3M from CRV and incredible fintech/regtech operators like Tom of Monzo, Laura of Alloy, Charlie of ComplyAdvantage, and Nicky of Nova Credit. We have 30 customers and are adding multiple new ones every month. We’re the emerging leader in the crypto insider trading analytics space, recently featured in the Wall Street Journal.
We’re a 14-strong, diverse team of builders looking for our first full-time business hire.
You You’ll be our first full-time business hire so will have tremendous opportunity for impact: on customers, on product, on culture. You’ll be at the forefront of our mission to enable compliant trading and end insider trading. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, process-oriented, and interpersonal - this may mean previously you’ve worked in banking or consulting, or done a terrific job at a startup, or taken on a really challenging project elsewhere in life.
The role You’ll run Customer Success and Operations, with the chance to build the team in each over time. To make that tangible: In your first week, you’ll be joining Customer Success and Sales calls to see how the process works and even start helping out in certain cases. Meanwhile, you’ll be learning the product. In your first month, you’ll start owning your own customer relationships, taking them on as soon as the ink on the contract is dry. You’ll be a process wiz, making this and processes across the company better all the time. In your first three months, you’ll have revamped our Customer Success and Ops processes - there are not many so a lot of white canvas. In your first year, you’ll own these two divisions entirely and increasingly build out the team for them.
Across this, you’ll be working closely with Owen (co-founder & CEO), and secondarily Omar (co-founder & CTO).

Argus lets employees who could have material nonpublic information, like bankers and consultants, trade compliantly with their employer restrictions. Today banks and consulting firms struggle over compliance restrictions and even pay fines when employees misuse their brokerages. The way Argus works is pretty simple: charge firms like Bain, partner with brokerages like Schwab, and allow employees to trade on their existing accounts.
