About Ashby

We’re building the next generation of enterprise software and we’re starting with a suite of products that help talent leaders, recruiters, and hiring managers run their hiring process significantly better (we haven’t shared much publicly about what we’re building yet, but we’ll be more specific once we meet).

We are well funded and backed by great investors, including Y Combinator, Elad Gil and Lachy Groom. We have not launched publicly yet, but we're already working with amazing companies, such as Opendoor, Plaid, Airtable, Snyk, Benchling and SalesLoft (and many others which we cannot name yet) - it's a great time to join 🚀

About this Role

As our Head of Talent you will partner closely with Benji (our CEO) and Abhik (Head of Engineering) to expand our excellent engineering team and build out our go-to-market side. You will also have input into how the next generation of recruiting software is built!

Since we already have a fairly mature recruiting function we need less support on the process side (e.g. building out interview plans, intake meetings, etc.) and instead are looking for someone who excels in two areas :

  • Building out top of funnel : talent mapping, building out an excellent sourcing function (can be in-house or with external support), owning recruiting marketing (we’ve already had success with our first piece of content). We have a good track record of closing great candidates. We want you to help get us in front of more of them and ensure we have diversity in our candidate pool.

  • Building out and tracking progress against a hiring plan. We want you to take inputs from our different hiring managers and assemble them into a hiring plan (with priorities and rough timing associated with each of the hires). Then we want you to figure out the required resourcing and track progress against the plan. It is less important to make accurate predictions about when we will fill roles (that’s not easily possible). Instead we want you to be the owner of the plan who is always in touch with which critical roles are falling behind; allowing you to make adjustments as needed.
