The Role

AssemblyAI is growing quickly, and we’re searching for a driven Talent Sourcer to help scale our growing team! With significant investment and strong leadership to fuel our growth, it’s the perfect time to join the AssemblyAI team.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Build strategic talent maps globally and find creative ways to attract top GTM talent. his role will be responsible for owning GTM sourcing to maintain a consistent, high-quality, and diverse candidate pipeline.You will identify and leverage sourcing resources, tools and techniques in addition to implementing out-of-the-box, creative sourcing methodologies.

  • Partner closely with our Recruitment team to attract & source the best talent in the world. You will work with our current team to define and drive strategies for finding and engaging passive talent across diverse sets of GTM talent profiles. You will work with our recruiting team to implement hiring strategies that optimize for diversity and inclusion, time to hire, quality of hire, and personalized candidate experiences.

  • Play a key role as the initial point-of-contact for candidates in our hiring process. his role is perfect for an extrovert who is a thoughtful communicator, story teller, and inquisitive screener. You’ll be the initial point-of-contact for many candidates being introduced to AssemblyAI for the first time, so genuine interest and enthusiasm for AI & Audio Intelligence is a must!

  • Experience sourcing / recruiting for GTM teams at a B2B SaaS or Developer Tools company, preferably a high-growth startup
  • Successful track record of sourcing, evaluating, and closing high-quality GTM candidates from entry to senior level
  • Experience working with ATS systems (Workable, Greenhouse, Lever, etc.) and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Experience in creative sourcing through multiple channels (web, social/professional networks, etc.) to identify and attract top talent across different locations
  • Knowledge of passive sourcing fundamentals, fluency with boolean logic, and ability to come up with creative sourcing techniques

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with sourcing tools such as Gem
  • SIndustry knowledge (Developer Tools / Developer APIs) with ability to understand relevant skills, target companies, conferences, etc.


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many priorities and have the ability to effectively manage your own time
  • Strong empathy for candidates and obsessed with delivering an exceptional candidate experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills; systems and process orientation
  • Ability to write concise, informative and compelling narratives to successfully market and generate interest in roles

The application is evaluated by a recruiter and moved forward to a hiring manager within 7 days if the demonstrated skills and experience match the requirements for the role.

1st Call with Recruitment Team

If you’re a good fit for the role, our recruitment team will reach out with a link to their Calendly to set up a time to connect with you. During this call, the recruiter will learn more about your background, your skillset, and your motivations for your next opportunity. After the screen, you will receive an update within 1 week on your application status.

Take Home Exercise + Follow-Up Interview

After speaking with the recruitment team, you'll be sent a take-home exercise. This is a practical evaluation to see if you have the relevant skills to succeed in the role. After you send the exercise, the recruitment team will setup a follow up interview to review your completed exercise with you to understand your thought process. After this interview, you will receive an update within 1 week on your application status.

Final Interview

Once you’ve passed the skills assessment, we will have you meet with a few other members of the team before a final decision is made. This is a more casual interview to get to know potential members of your team and ask any additional questions you may have about the role. After this interview, you will receive an update within 1 week on your application status.

Final Decision

After the final interview, we evaluate each candidate who made it to this stage, and the hiring team makes a decision. We will also request references at this stage before moving forward with an offer.


Once references are complete, we'll make an offer to you including details about salary, benefits, equity, and other relevant compensation details. Once the offer is accepted, we’ll provide you with a laptop and everything you need to prepare you for your first day!
