About the role

About Us

Bountiful is building our sales and customer success team from the ground up. To this point, we have organically reached customers and grown by word of mouth. Now, Bountiful is ready to scale our business development and sales with a foundational team.

Bountiful brings yield forecasts and analytics to specialty crops using satellite imagery, weather, geographical, and historical data sets. Using a data-agnostic approach, we leverage private and public data sets in conjunction with the latest machine learning techniques to provide actionable information to the grape, almond, and walnut agriculture industries.

Bountiful is an agile team whose goal is to use the latest analytical methods, incubate new technologies and drive innovative ways to develop new opportunities to make a significant and lasting impact. Bountiful clients include farmers, agribusiness, and specialty crop investment groups.


Your Role

Lead sales at Bountiful. Build out our sales team.

First understand our business model and work closely with the CEO to understand the current customer base, identify super users and evolve our sales strategy. This includes building a foundational sales pipeline that will be leveraged as Bountiful grows and includes more non-technical members of the team.

Onboard customers, train users on product, develop product support infrastructure.

Travel, in person, especially during the off agricultural season is essential for sales with the specialty crop industry. Attending conferences, one-on-one meetings and being a part of sales calls are important. (Roughly ~50% of time).

Develop customer success, account management and support infrastructure to continue to foster existing customers and ensure retention of new customers. This includes leveraging existing software/pipelines while integrating new tools to provide a complete sales solution.

Analytical mind and have a basic understanding of the technology behind our product. Be familiar with agricultural technology products and how other products can be complementary to ours.

Interact closely with the development and data science teams to understand the tech and communicate customer needs and wants. Bountiful and its product operate on a ‘user-first’ approach to providing solutions.


Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business, communications or marketing.
  • Requirement to have sales experience specifically in the startup environment; 3+ years of experience. Ideally, in the agriculture or agriculture technology space.
  • Self starter and self motivator; strengths in strategic thinking and executing.
  • Able to build infrastructure, processes, tools and teams from scratch.
  • Lead and work in small team environments.
  • Excel under pressure.
  • Familiar with the lean, scrum or agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Ability to quickly learn on the fly and apply.
  • Ability to work alone if need be.

Skills

  • Experience with CRM software such as Hubspot, Salesforce.
  • Highly experienced in google docs, sheets, slides framework.
