About the role

BuildZoom is a managed marketplace that is modernizing the $1.2 trillion remodeling and construction industry. We guide clients with medium-to-large residential and light commercial projects through the construction process and help them turn vision into physical reality. Our platform ensures accountability and transparency throughout the process, enabling us to deliver great outcomes in a historically challenging industry. Last year, we managed over $150M in construction projects and are on track to double this year.

We are looking for a Data Analyst who is both technical and eloquent. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions for our customers and business partners.

This is an opportunity to work with a unique real estate and construction data set that is unparalleled in the industry to help us expand our powerful competitive advantages. You will use modern data analysis techniques to ensure data quality, identify opportunities, address customer use-cases, and present your proposals internally and externally.


  • Work with data set that includes 250M records and billions of construction data points
  • Apply modern statistical techniques to identify data inconsistencies, trends, insights, and opportunities
  • Work closely with our Senior Vice President of Business Development to gain a deep understanding of customer use cases and propose solutions that include data, technology, and marketing components
  • Help us win large enterprise partnership deals by engaging with technical counterparts within the partner’s organization
  • Collaborate with the software engineering team to influence development roadmaps


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years data analyst experience
  • Technical expertise in SQL and Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, data joining, cleanup, and aggregation)
  • Working knowledge of applied statistics
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to organize and present complex information
  • Attention to detail
  • Python or R experience preferred
