Senior Software Engineer - Backend

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer well-versed in NodeJS and interested in building performant backend systems in a fast-paced environment. In the immediate, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing internal tools and systems that enable us to optimize our operations. In the long-term, you will help build technical product roadmap, create new product features end-to-end, and work across our entire tech stack. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

Responsibilities

• Writing clean, testable, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
• Support test and deployment of new products and features
• Participate in code reviews

Role Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or relevant STEM field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years working in back-end development with Node.js
• 2+ years working with JavaScript and good understanding of Inheritance and functional programming in JavaScript
• Experience with server-side templating languages
• Experience with Angular, Express.js, React.js, and other frameworks.
• Experience consuming and building robust RESTful APIs
• Experience with dbs like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Database Design, and XML Schema
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
• Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work
• Exceptional problem solving and ability to work independently
• Exceptional learning skills
