About the role

CareRev, a 100% remote company, is bringing the future of work to Healthcare. We are developing a robust marketplace that connects trusted Healthcare professionals to relevant per diem shift opportunities. We are working to change the traditional relationship between Healthcare professionals and Healthcare facilities alike, aiming to build a future that ensures people who work in Healthcare have better tools and are empowered to be the healers they want to be.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the CTO you will be the hiring manager for the team, you will run one on ones, you will provide guidance and feedback, you will provide growth paths, and you will work with engineering and product management to coordinate how to effectively deliver projects that involve a high degree of engineering work. Not all projects need program/project management, and you will help determine which do need them and which individuals will provide the most benefit to expedite them. Engineering projects at CareRev cut across the entire company and underpin virtually every part of the business including: end user product development, internal custom tools projects for operations teams, integrations with healthcare tech partner platforms and apis, data science and data engineering projects, client implementation of new features, and business systems integrations and customizations (CRMs, ERPs, ATSs, etc). You will work with every department at CareRev effectively gluing CareRevers cross company together to succeed on the project at hand.

What we're looking for 

  • A person with a great working memory that can lay out what's happening, at any time, with the most important projects the team is working on
  • A person that manages expectations extraordinarily well by providing key information about projects and discussing the primary levers that can be pulled as needed
  • Someone with solid understanding of web/internet technologies so as to be able to follow engineering and product discussions
  • Ability to drive decisions around scope, time, cost, resources, quality, and risk
  • Clear and succinct writing and communication across non-technical and technical stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of one or more ticket tracking systems - Shortcut, Jira, Fogbugz, Trello, Asana, etc
  • A person who has studied kanban, process flow/JIT delivery processes, agile, waterfall, and has a good idea when to apply elements from each
  • Willingness to shy away from being dogmatic to a particular "one size fits all" project management process/framework


    • 7+ years experience as project manager or program manager
    • 2+ years experience managing other project/program managers
    • 5+ years experience with in house custom application development projects
    • College degree
    • Lives in and is eligible to work in the USA
