Customer Engagement software on top of BigQuery/Snowflake

Castled.io is a Customer Engagement Platform (CEP) that brings the power of data in the warehouse to the marketer. Essentially, Castled.io is similar in feature set to Braze, CustomerIO or MoEngage with a major difference - We don't store your customer data. Instead Castled sits on top of your cloud data warehouse to create segments and engage them across channels.

As a coder by chance and an entrepreneur by choice, I love to design systems which is to make an impact on the people around me. 15 years of experience in enterprise product development, leading the development of mission-critical systems like flight operations and cargo handling for one of the biggest airlines in the world, where downtime of even a minute meant grounded flights and millions of dollars in loss. Cycling, running and working out keep me sane.

tl;dr Marketers often wait weeks or months for data teams to sync customer data to their advertising and marketing tools. Castled Audiences help marketers take charge of their data by providing a No-code Customer Segmentation Engine directly on top of cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery and Redshift.

😰 The Problem

Modern-day marketers are increasingly adopting data warehouses like Snowflake and BigQuery as the source of truth for customer data. However, they are still forced to rely heavily on the data teams to get the data out of the data warehouse to their advertising/marketing tools.

The restriction is primarily due to the complex SQL queries required to create even the most straightforward customer segments. For example, here is the SQL to create a segment of abandoned cart users on Snowflake.

Therefore, marketers are often forced to make tradeoffs in their campaign efficiency as a result of the constraints imposed by limited engineering resources.

🛠 How Castled Audiences solve this problem

The Audiences feature offers a point-and-click Segmentation tool, which helps marketers create the customer segments they need without SQL and send them to a destination of their choice, e.g., Google Ads, Braze, HubSpot, etc.

Here is a 3-minute demo of how marketers can create a segment of cart abandoners directly on Snowflake and then sync them to Google Ads for retargeting.
