We seek a full-time Revenue Operations Specialist to join the passionate Codingal team.

Role Overview

As a Revenue Operations Specialist, you will oversee and optimize the entire revenue generation process for repeat customers by aiding the Customer Relations team. Analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to drive business efficiency and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage Payment Infrastructure: Configure and maintain payment gateways (Stripe, Razorpay, Flutterwave, PayPal), bank payment rails, and related software. Ensure integration reliability and compliance (PCI, local regulations).

2. Own Recurring Billing Flow: Design and oversee subscription billing logic (plan changes, proration, trials, upgrades/downgrades) and one-time charges. Handle automated retry logic: for instance, Razorpay will retry failed charges up to three times, moving subscriptions between pending and halted states. Ensure invoices and settlements are tracking

3. Payment Failure Reduction: Monitor failed payment trends; analyze declines (card expiration, insufficient funds, network timeouts, fraud flags) and implement remedies. For example, typical failure causes include expired/invalid cards, bank restrictions, or gateway downtime. Work with customers (via finance/CS) to update payment methods.

4. Revenue Leakage Prevention: Proactively detect and fix revenue leakage (e.g., lost renewals, uncollected refunds). Align with Finance to reconcile payment batches, identify unhandled transactions, and correct accounting mismatches. Implement dunning email campaigns or payment recovery processes to reclaim failed charges.

5. Cross-Functional Projects: Collaborate on new features (e.g., multi-currency pricing, payment retries) with Engineering; advise on finance systems (ERP/QuickBooks sync) with Finance; and train Customer Relations on common payment issues. The RevOps Specialist ensures all teams share consistent data and tools..

6. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of new payment methods (e.g., local wallets, UPI, BNPL) and evaluate their integration. Automate manual tasks (e.g., scheduled reconciliation, payment status alerts). Use analytics to test improvements (e.g., A/B test a new retry email subject line or trial period) for revenue uplift.

7. Auto-Charge & Retry Metrics: Measure the percentage of payments collected automatically (vs. manual intervention), success after each retry attempt, and the number of invoices in pending/halted states. Aim to increase auto-collect rates and minimize manual collections.

8. Overall Subscription Health: Key SaaS metrics like MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue), churn rate, LTV/CAC, etc. Alerts on unusual churn spikes (often due to payment issues) and dashboards for MRR growth track overall business health
