Product Manager at Community Phone Company
About the role
We started 2021 with six full-time employees, and are just crossing 23 full-time employees.
If you’re motivated by the opportunity to reshape the telecom industry at a fast-growing startup, then you’re the type of person we’re looking for.
About Community Phone
Community Phone is a venture-backed, Y-Combinator graduate with a simple mission; make phone service simple, clear, and accessible to everyone (particularly seniors and small businesses).
And the results speak for themselves. 20%+ month-over-month growth and profitable channels that are ready for optimization and scale.
Our investors are the same early investors in companies like Reddit, DropBox, AirBnB, Twitch, Lyft, and other successful startups. We are customer-centric and believe that happy customers are the best salesforce on the planet.
You’re early in your product management career, and hungry to work on a wide range of product activities.
You’re motivated to solve nebulous challenges by rolling up your sleeves and doing the work. You’re a quick learner who is comfortable working independently and “figuring it out”; in fact, you’d be bored at a job where your work is perfectly defined and every day is the same.
And at bottom, the idea of working at a fast-growing startup that improves the lives of real people is exciting and energizing.
As the first full-time product manager, you’ll work directly with the head of marketing, CEO, head of supply chain, a senior designer, and three engineers.
- Day to day communication with engineering, design, and QA to ensure our product is on track
- Generating clear, thoughtful specifications to keep the engineers focused on writing the right features
- Define product roadmap and strategy
Why you should join Community Phone Company
Community Phone Company YC W19 built a simple cloud phone system for businesses that don't operate a call center.
Our solution lets a business get all modern voice features (re-route if busy, greeting menu and IVR, programmable caller ID, cloud voicemail, etc) on their existing office phone and existing employee cell phones. All employees onboard instantly, no wifi required, no app to download. Businesses should not be missing out on orders because they can only take one call at a time, and they shouldn't need an IT person in order to get a modern business phone system.
