About the role

Our product, Atlas, provides rich data on virtually every commercial property in the country (and all of the workflow software built on top of that to make it useful).  Think Redfin for every commercial property, with Salesforce functionality to organize and track your work.  For our users who serve these properties, this data and workflow becomes their secret weapon; there's nothing else like it available today. 

Our market is under the radar, but massive and ubiquitous commercial services industry. Our customers are responsible for the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the lighting, safety, security, and dozens of other privileges that we are incredibly fortunate to take for granted in buildings across all of America.   We are based in, and love, the seven square miles of San Francisco, but our customers live and work in almost every state in America.  They include some of the largest enterprises in the country, like Siemens and Carrier, and smaller businesses we care just as deeply about.

The Role

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for identifying and qualifying sales opportunities for the Convex sales organization. There is not a high degree of technical knowledge required for this position. This position does lay the foundation for a successful SaaS sales career for those candidates who are willing to learn and work towards that goal. 

Your first 3-6 months

  • Learn the Convex product & messaging 

  • Learn the tools necessary to be successful (Yes, we invest in your success!) 

  • Leverage every opportunity you can to learn the market and our business

  • Consistently meet performance expectations and goals (you want rapid career growth, right?) 

Then 6-18 Months  

  • Continue to build a strong foundation in our product and the ecosystem around Convex

  • Become a “sales master” of qualification, relationship building, and communication skills 

  • Become a mentor to new team members. Show them the ropes and help them be successful just like we did for you when you started 

  • Participate in our Account Executive (AE) Mentorship Program to expand your knowledge of AE duties and responsibilities. You will work closely with your mentor in all aspects of the AE role to gain consideration for a promotion

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area

  • Minimum 1-2 years career experience; preferably six-months experience in B2B software sales

  • Track-record of top performance and exceeding expectations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to remain focused for long periods of time

  • The ability to triage competing priorities

  • Experience cold-calling and cold-emailing a plus
