About the role

Convex is looking for an exceptional technical recruiter to help supercharge our talent acquisition efforts. Our customers serve an under the radar, yet massive and ubiquitous industry: commercial services. They are responsible for the systems that provide the air we breathe; the water we drink; and the lighting, safety, and security that power daily life for millions of people.  We are based in, and love, the seven square miles of San Francisco, but our customers live and work in almost every state in America.  They include some of the largest enterprises in the country, like Siemens and Carrier, and smaller businesses we care just as deeply about.  

The Role

Our business and our team are growing aggressively and we are looking for a recruiter to join our small but mighty team. Last spring we recently closed our oversubscribed Series A led by Emergence (Salesforce & ZOOM) and have ambitious hiring targets as we are continuing to grow. You will work directly with Convex’s VP of Talent to help execute on key hires who will propel our entire company forward. On day one, you will have the unique opportunity to help select the entire forthcoming team and will also have the chance to shape the recruiting function from the ground up, and as well as help with various recruiting initiatives.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with VP of Talent and hiring managers to understand the requirements of the role and how it fits into the organization

  • Build talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, and sourcing campaigns

  • Source and identify passive candidates to build a pipeline of high potential talent

  • Build relationships with candidates and guide them through the hiring process

  • Track data to ensure you're investing in sources with the highest ROI

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience sourcing engineering talent in-house, search firm, or agency

  • Experience working with and building sourcing strategies with recruiters and hiring managers

  • Experience developing and executing candidate generation and research techniques

  • Experience screening resumes and matching qualifications

  • Experience engaging and activating passive candidates

  • Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree

  • You have mastered successful pipeline management using an ATS (using tags for example and Lever experience is strongly preferred)
