Product Engineer

The role:

• The product engineer should be able to add and update functionality to our web service. 
• Defining protocol buffer APIs for browser-server and server-worker interactions.
• Implementing the interactions by:
• Writing good unit and integration tests for the backend.
• Evaluating and adopting frameworks such as React or htmx for the frontend and building custom UIs.
• Being scrappy and fast in development while not compromising good design principles.

Ideal background:

• The ideal candidate will have strong experience with python, protocol buffers, javascript, and a frontend framework of their choice. They will have demonstrated experience in designing nontrivial UIs with HTML and javascript (e.g. a UI for free-form drawing, a web UI for a game, etc).
