How you’ll make an impact
Dost’s co-founders, Sneha and Sindhuja, started Dost while they were graduate students at UC Berkeley in 2015. Since then, they’ve been building things – products, teams, partnerships and the organization as a whole. As we hit our 7th anniversary co-leading Dost, we need help to accelerate the pace and scale of our impact. That’s where you come in: you will support us on anything and everything that enables the organization to grow and support more families.
More about you
-Believe in the power of education in transforming lives and fostering social mobility -Have an entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity and “get it done” mentality - you’re excited to dive right in to understand how things work and improve them as you go - OR - You want to build this skill set by peeking into how the co-founders work -Enjoy bringing process, organization, logistics and structure to chaos, creating space for creativity and deep thinking -Want to be a part of a warm, driven culture that likes being silly too -Have a growth-mindset, feeling comfortable that your role and responsibilities can adapt to new challenges and opportunities -Are curious and constantly keep asking questions, especially the ‘stupid’ ones -Bonus points if you are based in India
Dost is an ed-tech nonprofit building a platform to expand access to early childhood development in low-resource settings through parent education. Our mission is to unlock children’s full potential by focusing on early learning - the time when 90% of our brains develop.
We believe that parents of any literacy level can play a critical role in developing their children’s school and life readiness. In India alone, there are 150 million under-resourced caregivers who can benefit from resources developed for them. That’s why our team at Dost Education - educators, entrepreneurs, and engineers - are passionate about using technology and user-centric product design to change the trajectory of families’ lives.
Since 2017, we’ve grown from a small pilot with a few hundred mothers, to reaching over 100,000 families working with state governments. Join us as we continue to innovate, grow our reach, and deepen our impact. We are supported by some of the best funders in tech and social impact space like Y Combinator, Mulago, and many others.
Dost Education values diversity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
