Who We Are

Duffl empowers students to run 7-figure businesses whilst pursuing their degree. We use data to wholesale high demand/high margin products and deliver them directly to our customers in 10 minutes using electric scooters and a 100% student workforce.

About the Role

As our Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and communicating the Duffl brand. You will own key acquisition channels and partner with leaders across Ops, Product and HR. You will play a central role in master-minding Duffl’s go-to-market strategy as we accelerate through a phase of national expansion. Your marketing expertise will enable you to create the growth engine for the entire company. You have the most direct impact on the top line revenue.

The successful candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for Duffl and our community. We seek versatile thinkers who can structure and analyze a variety of business problems and experiment with new ideas quickly.

Qualifications

  1. 6+ years building consumer brands that have undergone hyper growth.
  2. Sufficient financial literacy to drive assumptions that inform our financial models and marketing spend.
  3. Data-driven mindset who thrives in an experimental environment and is able to formulate and execute ideas
  4. Can build a team who are capable of executing on the defined strategy by setting goals, assisting where needed and keeping a young team accountable.
  5. Comfortable managing multiple acquisition channels (e.g. Social media, guerilla, SMS/Push, referrals, etc).
  6. Can get scrappy, hands dirty, and travel to each school to truly understand customers & employees.
  7. Experience working with college students or in the college market is a major nice to have.
  8. Skilled at designing and creating creative digital assets and/or merchandising.

About the interview

  1. Screener Call (15min)

This stage is a more informal call with our Chief of Staff Harshal to get to know more about the role, and for you to evaluate whether we are a good fit for you.

  1. Top Grading Interview (1 HR)

The interview is a deep dive into marketing abilities. We are looking for a creative problem solver. We are also looking for autonomy and communication. This is evaluated throughout the process, in how you communicate your approach, solutions and overall thinking.

  1. Bar Raiser Interview (1 HR)

A non-hiring leadership team member will interview you (mostly behavioral) and provide feedback to the hiring manager (CEO)

  1. Culture Interview (1 HR)

This interview with the CEO will go over culture fit.
