About the role
Exa is building web-scale systems for search. We routinely run batch jobs with >1000 machines and develop production services that involve many terabytes of text. Up for the challenge?
Desired Experience
- You have extensive experience with some high performance language (C++, rust, etc.)
- You’re comfortable optimizing the crap out of a system
- Care about the problem of finding high quality knowledge and recognize how important this is for the world
Example Projects
- Recreate google-level search over 10 billion pages in 1 month
- Revamp our document parser to work for any website
- Make a custom vector database run over a billion vectors in under 100ms
