About the role

We’re hiring a solutions engineer to join our team to partner closely with our sales and product teams to ensure that our customer have the technical support needed and engagements are expanding. You will be our main point of contact for customers, supporting our sales team to close deals, through implementation and expansion of the Explo product. This role requires you to be technical and have a deep understanding of our product, while working directly with customers.

Not only will you work closely with our sales team, but also play a key role as the voice of the customer to our product team and help drive our product roadmap.

What you’ll do:

  • Demo Explo and answer technical questions about how to make the best use of the product

  • Identify blockers for a potential customer to adopt Explo early in the sales process, and overcome them

  • Understand customer needs and proactively work with them to set up their data infrastructure, data model, and optimize performance

  • Own the entire post-sale customer journey and spend the majority of your time interacting with customers and ensuring their success using Explo

  • Be the voice of our customers and represent their needs to the rest of the organization

  • Dive into our product and solve any technical issues or bring in the correct support from our product team

  • Serve as the primary, ongoing technical point of contact for our users

  • Help clients implement Explo and own relationships to ensure they are getting the most value out of our product

  • Work closely with our product team to synthesize themes across customer needs to understand product improvements

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong engineering background, preferred in fields like computer science

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role is a plus

  • Ability to take on open-ended problems in unstructured environments

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Javascript, and APIs

  • Ability to think on your feet and solve problems during live-calls with technical customers
