Liquid cooling technology for data centers
We are hiring a full-time Engineer with a mechanical background to work in a team that designs, develops, builds, and tests new cooling devices.
Responsibilities ● Support design, development, and validation process of cooling solutions from concept to product. ● Design and build prototypical assemblies and their instrumentation. ● Define and execute experimental and numerical investigations to inform design optimization and product validation.
Key Qualifications ● Hands-on experience in electronic cooling. ● Bachelor (or equivalent) or higher degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, thermal, chemical, etc) or a similar discipline ● A high level of experience in technology development and design and optimization of complex thermo-mechanical systems ● Strong understanding of fluid flow and heat transfer processes as well as mechanics of materials. ● A high level of experience in data acquisition and data processing. ● Ability to develop and run computational models of electronics and component performance, including steady-state and transient heat transfer, and thermal-mechanical stress analyses. ● Strong working knowledge of computer tools to model heat transfer and fluid flow, e.g., FLOEFD, FloTHERM, SolidWorks Flow Simulation, and IcePak. ● Excellent oral and written communication skills. ● Flexible mindset and team player attitude.
Additional Qualifications Desired ● Experience in liquid cooling of electronic equipment (in particular two-phase heat transfer). ● Hands-on experience designing two-phase immersion cooling systems. ● Familiar with multi-physics software, such as ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, STAR-CCM+.
