Head of Business Operations

Fidocure® is looking for a Head of Business Operations to join our team!

About FidoCure®: We are a high-growth team that is committed to helping dogs and their families fight cancer. Our product, FidoCure® (www.fidocure.com), is already reaching hundreds of dogs suffering from cancer. We offer new hope for dogs with cancer by performing genomic testing, developing a targeted treatment plan, and facilitating access to medication based on the results. In the process, we are collecting data to improve outcomes for all future dogs. Canine and human cancer share similarities, so our learnings benefit both sides of the leash.

About the job: In this role, you will be a hands-on leader who will build, direct, and innovate within FidoCure’s business operations. You’ll work with the CEO and other leaders to shape long-term organizational goals and strategic priorities for the organization. The role spans several core areas of responsibility, including operations, people practice, and finance, as follows:

Business Operations Establish metrics and reporting rigor across all business metrics - analysis, reporting, leading reviews for action items Establish and lead weekly business updates, including coordinating team updates, notes, follow-ups Run point on strategic projects - especially those that span multiple teams Lead corporate planning, including monthly and quarterly business reviews Lead communications with Board of Directors and investors, including supporting the creation of materials for the Board of Directors meetings, meeting notes, presentations and follow-ups
Lead all aspects of pet parent support - including policies, procedures, FAQs Serve as main POC with third party partnerships, including review and negotiation of contracts, as well as navigating creation/approval of all contracts and legal documents Work cross-functionally, supporting the technology team and overseeing the roll-out and on-going support of company tools/systems Oversee company's physical real estate (office locations, space management, leases, etc) People Practices Provide strategic oversight to all HR efforts, enabling the organization to retain and attract top talent to support its growth Oversee HR functions - including recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, system’s access Guide HR consultant in benefits, training, policy setting, handbook creation, etc. Manage annual performance appraisals and salary adjustments Implement and operate performance management systems for high-performing, transparent business processes across the organization

Finance Establish strong partnership with the CFO; creating and updating monthly, quarterly and annual budgets Serve as main POC on all budget matters and communication across teams Lead reviews and coordination with Accounting partners for all matters related to invoicing, AP, etc. Ensure the adequacy and soundness of the company’s financial structure and position Track the development of a strategic financial plan and its results

Ideally, you have: A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant work experience; previous roles in biotech, tech, or consulting is a plus MBA degree or relevant degree required Demonstrated experience working with hyper-growth startups with high ambiguity and advising entrepreneurs; previous start-up experience is a plus Ability to build strong working relationships with business partners; this is a highly cross-functional role, so a low ego and a high instinct for collaboration are a must The role requires the ability to make decisions and handle tough conversations (strong EQ is required) Experience building and managing multiple priorities and projects Willingness to roll-up your sleeves to work on early stage challenges & opportunities Familiarity with oncology, veterinary or healthcare medical settings a plus
