About the role

FidoCure® is looking for a Head of Business Development, preferably with a background in healthcare to work directly with our Chief Strategy Officer.

About FidoCure®: We are a high-growth team that is committed to helping dogs and their families fight cancer. Our product, FidoCure® (www.fidocure.com), is already reaching hundreds of dogs suffering from cancer. We offer new hope for dogs with cancer by performing genomic testing, developing a targeted treatment plan, and facilitating access to medication based on the results. In the process, we are collecting data to improve outcomes for all future dogs. Canine and human cancer share similarities, so our learnings benefit both sides of the leash.

In this role, you will: Act as a strategic thought partner to FidoCure’s Executive Team, helping to define, influence and execute the company’s strategic BD & growth plans – from identifying initiatives to pursue, to prioritizing business development targets, to helping to define new product offerings. Gather critical market information and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to evaluate emerging trends and feasibility of future strategic directions Lead our business development process from inception to close. This role will be responsible for leading the assessment and roll out of a commercial plan as appropriate to support deals. Negotiate complex customer/partner agreements. Once signed, you will be responsible for cross-team coordination and partnering internally to support the initial engagement process. Identify and ensure business development pipeline and other commercial metrics are met Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry leaders, media, and relevant stakeholders
Identify and close high value specific academic partnership opportunities in key strategic areas while capturing and disseminating partner feedback and insights Establish and maintain long-term strategic partnerships and explore licensing opportunities within biotech, biopharma, diagnostics, and corporate groups

Core qualifications: Strong strategic, analytical, technical, problem solving and organizational skills. Excel at navigating ambiguity, synthesizing data and seeing patterns. Proven time management and organization skills; think about efficiency and scale. Demonstrated history of meeting deadlines, prioritizing workload and handling multiple competing projects simultaneously. Data-oriented (must love data --collecting it, analyzing it, learning from it). Adapt to changing priorities and needs with grace and flexibility. Calm, collaborative and even-keeled.

Ideal qualifications: Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, an advanced degree. Work experience preferably in investment banking/consulting or in the Health/ Biotech/ Pharma/ Life Sciences Industry, including academic and/or internship experience. Capable of both high-level strategic thinking and detailed execution. Consistent track record of taking ownership and driving results. Strong analytical skills, with experience in R&D and the ability to develop presentations. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal). Comfortable with “hands-on” management of tasks.
