Fizz is a debit card for college students that builds credit.
You'll be the 2nd full-time designer hire, meaning you'll be able to work on all aspects of the experience, from product design to strategy, research, and brand design. We're at the phase of our product where we need to do two things 1) build a killer product that people love, and 2) validate that what we're doing is working.
This role for someone who wants agency in their work and is looking to make that next step to a smaller team with leaders who understand the value of design, and want to do the best, most impactful work of their career.
You have 2+ years of experience designing and building digital products.
Strong familiarity with Figma.
Strong attention to detail.
Quick problem-solving skills.
Ability to do a little bit of everything, from visual design to ux research.
Systems-thinker who values delivering high-quality experiences.
Experience designing for fintech/bank products.
Experience designing for mobile apps.
Some experience writing code.
Some brand design experience (graphic design/illustration/animation).
We're a 12 person team, so you'll have a ton of freedom.
We already have a pretty robust UI Kit in Figma that leverages variants, auto layout, and well-defined styles. So, you'll be able to do your best quality work in half the time.
We encourage using Figma plugins, and we even have some internally built plugins and systems. So, you'll be super-charged.

Fizz is the debit card for college students that helps build credit. There are no fees, no security deposits, no interest rates, and nothing to be afraid of. We want to be the financial ally of young adults, so we're also building a network of personal finance resources to help students become financially free.
Fizz connects to a user's existing bank account so that they can't spend more than they have. We extend a daily line of credit and Autopay pays off all of the user's cleared transactions at the end of each day from their connected bank account - you can think of it like a credit card that is automatically paid off every day. At the end of the month, users' payment data is reported to the credit bureaus, helping build their score. It functions just like a debit card and is completely free to use. It's that simple.
