The Role

Flock Safety is building out a world-class imaging team in Tampere, Finland! We are looking for engineers who are excited to build something from the ground up and want their chance to leave their mark on a growing company. We are looking for a Software Engineer who is proficient in Qualcomm camera pipelines and builds. 

How you'll make an impact: 

• You will work on the Qualcomm camera pipeline including pipeline definitions, Chi-node, data compression, and 3A adjustments 
• You will participate in Qualcomm builds
• Collaborate with machine learning, hardware teams, and front-end focused teams on multifaceted projects that touch the whole system
• Assess new technologies as needed for a task and make decisions balancing technical need and business impact

We're looking for people who:

• Have strong previous experience as a software engineer, primarily working with C/C++
• Have previous experience in embedded systems, especially Qualcomm based systems. Camera pipeline experience is beneficial.
• An interest or understanding of machine learning 
• Comfortable taking on a large scope of work and making architectural decisions 
• Have a strong desire to grow their role and have a direct influence on a new team at Flock
