TL;DR: You can now book a Hotel on the Moon for 2032.
GRU Space (YC W26) is building off-world habitats starting with a hotel on the Moon. Learn more in this video and apply to stay at gru.space/reserve
🌕 About GRU
GRU develops in-situ resource utilization technology, transforming local lunar material into durable building structures. The first habitat is a lunar hotel for space tourists, targeting opening in 2032. From there, GRU aims to lay the foundation for America’s Moon base, future Mars cities, and a truly interplanetary civilization. More in our Whitepaper.
⚙️ The GRU Team
Hey, I’m Skyler, founder of GRU Space. I’ve wanted to fly to space since I was 3, and was an Air Force trained pilot at 16. Realized building technology to enable everyone to go to space felt more meaningful than just enabling myself to go to space, I dove into hardware and software and started my undergrad at Berkeley EECS. I worked on vehicle software at Tesla, built a NASA funded 3D printer that launched into space aboard Virgin Galactic, and authored at the world’s largest space conference (IAC 2025). GRU’s growing early team consists of former Ethos Space CTO and Colorado School of Mines professor Dr. Kevin Cannon (first founding Member of Technical Staff) and Dr. Robert Lillis (Advisor) who was the Principal Investigator of the latest NASA Mars mission that launched on Blue Origin’s New Glenn, ESCAPADE.
⭐ GRU’s path to a Trillion Dollar Company:
We don’t stop at Moon hotels. GRU’s Master Plan:
1. Build the first hotel on the Moon. GRU solves off‑world surface habitation.
2. Build America’s first Moon base: roads, mass drivers, warehouses, and physical infrastructure.
3. Repeat on Mars and build the first cities there.
4. Own property on the Moon and Mars as these economies grow.
5. Reinvest profits into resource utilization systems on the Moon, Mars, asteroids, and beyond—reaching our final form: Galactic Resource Utilization.
The next trillion-dollar company will be in human infrastructure: building the first cities on the Moon, Mars, and beyond. If we succeed, we will enable billions of human lives to be born.
