AI-Powered Clinical Decision Support
Note: this is our first non-founding engineering hire — so if the idea of jumping in with us on challenging problems at the intersection of technology and medicine appeals to you, read on!
Glass Health empowers clinicians with our platform for AI-assisted diagnoses and clinical decision support. Doctors spend twice as much time with computers as they do with patients — our product helps doctors make decisions and draft documentation in seconds. To date, tens of thousands of clinicians have used Glass to generate drafts of differential diagnoses and clinical plans.
We went through Y Combinator this year and recently announced a $5M seed round (led by Initialized), which included some of the most brilliant founders in healthtech: Tom Lee, founder of One Medical; Connor Landgraf, founder and CEO of Eko Health; and Heather Hasson and Trina Spear, the co-founders of FIGS. We’ve also been featured in leading clinical lectures like UCSF Grand Rounds and news outlets like NPR and TechCrunch.
Our co-founders are Dereck Paul, MD who studied medicine at UCSF and Harvard, and Graham Ramsey who designed the first telemedicine-specific EHR and was an early product team leader at healthtech companies like PlushCare and Modern Fertility.
We’re seeking an experienced senior full-stack engineer to help us build the next generation of clinical software. As the first engineer on our team, you’ll have the opportunity to lead on challenging technical problems and help build the future of tools for doctors.

What you’ll get:
Thanks for interviewing at Glass! We're passionate about building software for clinicians to improve healthcare around the world, and we hope you are too. We believe in a straightforward hiring process with respect for all parties involved.
This is an informal call for us to get to know you and what you're interested in, and for you to learn about Glass and ask any initial questions you might have about the role. This call is probably with our co-founder and CTO, Graham.
You'll be asked to do some programming/function writing using your own computer, and using whatever language/environment you are most comfortable with. You’re also free to google for syntax. The goal of this is not to assess your memorization of syntax, but to get a sense of your programming skills and work style.
This is a full-stack role, and will require being able to be flexible between front-end UI building, data architecture, and backend logic. On the flip side, you'll also be able to have ownership and help guide technical direction of the product in a major way. We'll use a virtual whiteboard in this interview to talk through a detailed solution for a nuanced technical problem.
This is a joint call between both of our co-founders to chat about the role, and again give you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.
We may have a few follow-up questions at this stage.
