Gridware is on a mission to create a future without deadly wildfires. We’re a startup building hardware and software that monitors the power grid to prevent and detect faults that lead to wildfire ignition. (More about Gridware below).

To make that happen, we’re currently looking for an operator who is detail oriented and interested in working in a fast-paced, mission critical environment. You will be the first to know when our fleet of devices detect critical power line faults and will make critical decisions to deploy appropriate resources accordingly.

Why do we need you?

We’re at an exciting point where we are ramping up field deployments of our power grid monitoring devices and are establishing a cutting-edge operations center to act as the first line of defense for detecting power line faults which can lead to catastrophic wildfires. The main function of the operations center is to monitor field devices, ensure reliability/uptime, report anomalies to the appropriate internal teams, and direct alerts to relevant personnel.

Responsibilities

This is what you’ll be doing:

• Establish work processes to scale the Operations Center, including internal and external communication procedures for different levels of alerts.
• Monitor the health of devices and investigate different potential alerts/ faults.
• Create real-time, and daily reports and dashboards for different alerts observed.
• Work with our software engineers to design, create, and test new software capabilities to enhance our ability to monitor the devices.
• Coordinate with field engineers for offline-stored data collection, maintenance, and device upgrades.

Requirements:

• Have a degree in engineering with basic understanding of data analytics and anomaly detection.
• A passion for working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on development and testing.
• Highly motivated, self-starting, and able to perform duties without supervision
