About Heimdal

Heimdal builds machines that permanently capture and store atmospheric CO2 and stabilize the oceans. Every year, 40 billion tonnes of CO2 is released. We use electricity to extract the acid part of seawater, which has been increasing due to increasing concentrations of CO2 in the atmosphere. Extracting the carbon-genic acid allows for more CO2 to be removed from the atmosphere and restore stability to the oceans. We're building a solution that’s scalable and profitable, today.

We are working with established multinationals to supply them with the highest quality carbon credits available and are partnering with some of the largest desalination facilities in the world to bring our solution to market at scale quicker. We are completing our pilot facility on the Island of Hawai’i in partnership with the solar desalination facility owned and operated by Terraformation in Q2 2022. This pilot is expected to be the lowest cost of high-quality carbon removal available.

You will be part of our business development and operations team based in San Francisco Bay Area.

We are venture backed by Y Combinator, Cathexis Ventures, Metaplanet, Sam Altman’s Apollo Projects, Marc Benioff and many other investors.

Objectives and responsibilities

• Pitch our carbon removals to potential buyers, whether corporate, personal or government
• Own supply chain origination activity, including site selection, power purchasing agreements and product sales.
• Providing thought leadership on client, business and sector challenges and opportunities to increase inbound enquiries.
• Set up process systems and make hires to help scale business operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and be self-driven across timezones
• Mission-driven approach to work
• A sense of urgency. We need to succeed, and we need to succeed quickly
• Any background, qualifications is acceptable, but it is advantageous to be well connected
• Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of what Heimdal is building and what our needs are as a company

We conduct a series of 3 interviews, including one with each of the two founders. There will be a decision made at each stage whether to pass you to the next stage. Before your final interview you will be asked to complete an unfamiliar technical task that should take you no more than 5 hours of work.
