Gives businesses everything needed to hire & manage W2 contractors.
HireArt is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to help us take projects from idea to reality.
We're an end-to-end contingent employment platform with the goal of enhancing the employment experience by making sure the complex administrative aspects of employment don’t get in the way.
As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you’ll take a human-centered approach to development: finding relatable, new ways to use technology, helping others work within technical limits, and building user experiences that improve a significant aspect of people’s lives: employment.
Here are a few things you’ll be doing:
Requirements
Cherries on top.
Commitment: This is a permanent, full-time (40 hours per week), W-2 position with HireArt and is open to United States- and Ontario, Canada-based candidates who are authorized to work in either of those countries. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas.
HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, which is why we are interested in every qualified candidate, regardless of their background or how they identify.
Compensation: We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is made up of a target base salary range of $160,000 - $200,000, equity, and a full benefits package that includes:
Phone Screen
This stage is a more informal call for candidates to get to know more about the role, and for you to evaluate whether it’s a good fit for you. We are looking for people with a strong interest in joining a growing team and motivation to help them.
Behavioral Interview This stage non-technical and geared specifically toward the vision, values, and mission of the company. This conversation gives the candidate an idea of what the culture of the company is like and gives us to opportunity to see how candidates will contribute to it.
Architectural assessment This stage is a 60-minute architectural technical assessment done via screen share. About 45 minutes of the interview are spent in an actual coding environment, with the rest set aside for introductions and questions from the candidate. The coding is meant to be collaborative, somewhat like a paired programming exercise. The coding tasks are meant to be as reflective of the real on-the-job work as possible and often include writing from scratch as well as editing existing code.
Technical Founder Interview The final step in the interview process is a single 30 minute video interview with Nick Sedlet, the technical founder of the company. It's an opportunity for candidates who have a high likelihood of receiving an offer to gain higher level insight into the role the engineering team plays in the business at large, from the person who started it all.
Interview Process Timing The typical interview process takes about 3.5 weeks from start to finish. This tends to be mostly based on our engineering team’s availability. That said, we have moved more quickly and look to accommodate candidates who might have a short timeline or competing offers. The more information you can share about your situation and where you are in the process, the more we can either attempt to expedite/match, or save you time if we cannot.
We are trying to solve one of the biggest problems in hiring: how to effectively measure a person's fit for a job. We want to do it in a way that is intuitive and transparent for both employers and job-seekers, and which scales to support organizations of any size. We believe that the right solution requires both algorithms and human judgment, and we are developing technologies which incorporate both. We believe that by building a product around new standards for assessment in recruiting, we can dramatically improve the accuracy of hiring decisions, as well as the job-seeking process.
