About the role

HyperLinq offers a simple yet powerful trading terminal on a monthly subscription. Our users are active day traders and professional fund managers. HyperLinq helps traders organize their portfolios, discover opportunities, execute trades faster, and analyze transactions.

We are looking for an experienced and talented engineer to join our team! You'll be responsible for the design, build, and maintenance of the products offered by HyperLinq.

You will also be responsible for creating and mentoring technology teams. We are looking for engineers who write high-quality and optimized code since execution time, and speed is crucial.

You will work directly with founders who have worked at the world's largest inter-dealer broker and have experience developing sophisticated trading systems. You will be instrumental in building the new age trading terminal for cryptocurrency traders and other asset classes like Equities and Forex.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the architecture and UX design process.
  • Test-driven development with adequately commented code.
  • Maintain product & engineering documentation.
  • Work with product managers to create requirements.
  • Create estimates to aid product managers in planning sprint cycles.
  • Manage git repositories, pull requests, and review code.
  • Communicate properly & promptly with all stakeholders.
  • Build a proof-of-concept for new products from scratch.
  • Optimize, clean up, and comment on the existing codebase.
  • Hire developers.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Manage a team of 5-7 developers.

Qualifications

  • Must have an engineering degree in Computer Science with excellent quantitive abilities.
  • Must have 6-8 years of hands-on engineering experience.
  • Should know about financial markets.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of operating systems, databases, and networking.
  • Must be an expert in data structure and creating highly optimized algorithms.
  • Must be an expert in Javascript with ES6+ features, Node.js, ReactJS, and Redux.
  • Must be an expert in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and Webpack.
  • Should have a working knowledge of AWS services like API gateways, Lambda, RDS, SNS, and Fargate.
  • Should have a working understanding of microservices patterns, serverless design, and event-based architecture.
  • Willingness to learn new programming languages, frameworks, and paradigms.
  • Knowledge of cryptocurrency trading and blockchain is a plus.
  • Knowledge of React-native is a plus.
  • Should be flexible with working in different time zones.
