Responsibilities and Duties:
Setup and testing of 3rd party components. Offshore operations of our equipment Fabrication of wiring harnesses. Construction of robotic vehicle components and test apparatus involving mechanical and electrical assembly. Interaction with remote employees to assist in their remote testing. Setup and testing of Impossible Mining developed systems. Responsible for the overall underwater robotic vehicle assembly and testing. PCB rework and debugging. Required Skills and Experience:
Past experience working with combined mechanical, electrical and software systems Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings Experience with wire harness soldering Mechanical aptitude Debugging robotics / mechatronic systems Desirable Additional Experience:
Experience with some or all of the Responsibilities and Duties listed Past experience working with ROVs and AUVs or other underwater robotics. Experience with Oscilloscopes Comfort with Linux OS and experience with ROS and Python Past experience with both power and digital signal electronics Hand soldering of PCBs
Impossible mining (YC W22) missions is responsible seabed mining and refining of critical battery metals, Enabling the world’s transition to sustainable energy. We are building underwater robotics vehicles which collect critical battery metals from the seabed without harming the environment. We have $500M+ in off-take LoI’s and have signed a partnership with a global offshore logistics company which holds a seabed mining exploration permit. We have also built the 1st PoC underwater robotic.
