About the role

💡 If you get in touch, I'd love you to tell me about the most impressive thing you've ever built or accomplished in place of a cover letter. A resume or a comprehensive LinkedIn profile with a list of publications and/or a link to your GitHub repo would also be great.

Skills & Experience

  • PhD in computational biology-related fields (e.g., computer science, bioinformatics, systems modeling, statistics) or related scientific discipline, with significant experience developing and applying computational models to biological data.
  • Demonstrated scientific understanding of molecular and systems biology, diverse molecular data types, and analysis tools and computational fluency.
  • Solid foundations in applied math and machine learning to digest computational research from inside and outside of biology.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills: 1) preferably in R or Python and 2) experience with version control, documentation, testing, and the data science ecosystem
  • Fast learner, analytical thinker, creative.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English at both a technical and scientific level.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to haves

  • Experience developing and applying models on metabolomics data, specifically targeted/untargeted metabolomics data
  • Experience with other omics (epigenomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, genomics, etc.), and medical data types (imaging, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud computing.
  • Interest in learning any of the above (very fast).

We Offer

  • The chance to solve aging and significantly impact human longevity

  • A highly competitive compensation package, i.e., salary + stock options

  • A great, dynamic, and collaborative team

  • Flexible working hours

  • If in case you don't fit into the description above, e.g., you're still doing/just done with your Master's degree, etc., tell us why you would be a great addition to the team, given your experience. Remember, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take!
