About the role

Sales Development Representatives at Iron Plans own the top and mid-funnel of the sales process. As our first Sales hire, this is a unique and critical role that will set the foundation for building out a top notch sales team and scaling our customer base as we grow.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Work directly with CEO on building out and executing on a sales strategy
  • Grow our customer base from double digits to triple digits by identifying, qualifying, and contacting leads
  • Improve our messaging through customer research
  • Manage our CRM cleanly and efficiently
  • Learn to run Iron Plans demos yourself
  • Ideate with founders on new features based on prospective customer feedback
  • Help craft awesome potential and current customer experiences

Key Qualifications

  • Prior experience selling B2B SaaS
  • Experience with outbound sales and various lead generation tools
  • Expertise sourcing leads via cold emails and calls
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized

Bonus Points

  • Some experience with marketing, demos, or writing blog posts
  • You enjoy the chaos that is early stage startups ๐Ÿ˜†
  • You have a bias towards action -- you figure things out by running experiments

Right now our focus is intentionally narrow -- we want to give developers the tools to implement subscriptions, usage-based billing, & teams in an afternoon, not months. We have several customers already using the product and are onboarding more every week.

Eventually weโ€™ll use machine learning to provide customers with cutting-edge analytics, churn prediction, and upsell intelligence. In short, weโ€™re going to be their revenue & customer command center.
