Journey is looking for their second designer.

We’re hiring worldwide. Currently our team is across the United States, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Turkey.

Location agnostic pay. We try to pay competitively on a global standard. This role is $80-110K USD + equity. Your salary is dependent upon many factors, including years of experience, expertise, etc.

Journey (Y Combinator W21) is a storytelling tool designed for the internet age. We've identified hundreds of opportunities to tell better stories: sales, marketing, fundraising, onboarding, recruitment, and more.

Journey is a tool that allows you to combine all sorts of content into a single interactive experience. Take your Notion deck, your PDF documents, your Vimeo recording, and whatever else you may have, and collect them into a single experience - a single URL. We’re a design-led company that believes every problem starts with and ends with design. This means our design team engages with all aspects of our business and plays a leading role in bringing our team’s ideas to life.

You’re kind.

You have 4+ years of experience designing end to end experiences for digital products.
You’re comfortable (and eager), to engage with the entire spectrum of design - from product, to systems thinking, to kerning and accessibility.
You enjoy asynchronous work - we aim to have as few a meetings as possible.
You know your way around design systems and will be ready to contribute to Journey’s design system, Monet, from the get go.
You’re comfortable sharing your process and explaining why you’ve made the decisions you’ve made - and willing to defend and disagree with members of the product team.
You’re interested in shaping, contributing to, and championing design culture at Journey. We’ve only had a design team of one for a handful of months.
You you the idea of working in a very small startup environment.
