About the role

  • Location: Berlin, Germany (On-Site)
  • Contract Type: Full Time
  • Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for an experienced Post-Sales & Solutions Engineering Lead to join our team. You will lay the foundation for the technical services team; first operating hands-on yourself and then transition to leading the team as it will grow in the coming months and years. You will support customers on their whole product journey: from onboarding and working with them how to best integrate Kombo into their own product, to helping resolve them any issues that may come up and to fixing product issues yourself. Overall, your mission is to make our customers succeed (fast)!

Most of your time will be spent solving technical problems, however, they will always be closely motivated by customer inquiries. This role demands exceptional problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and strong communication abilities.

If you are passionate about state-of-the-art tech products, enjoy working closely with customers, and value being part of an awesome team that empowers you to grow, then we think you'll love this job!

About You

  • You are ambitious, self-driven, and eager to work alongside a high-performing team. You want to take over a lot of responsibility for an excellent customer experience through a great technical product. You also appreciate being part of a transparent, “no-bullshit” culture that values direct communication, no politics, and is driven by high quality and ownership
  • You are a strong engineer and leader that has worked in a Solutions, Post-Sales, or Customer Success Engineering role before. You are collaborative and work well with your peers in Sales, Product, Engineering, and the Customer Success team.
  • You have excellent written and spoken English skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will technically onboard and work with various of our customers' teams (domain experts, product, engineering) to help them integrate Kombo and solve real-world problems. You understand people and technology, and are committed to providing an excellent experience and fast time to value to Kombo’s customers.
  • You will extend our product as needed to make our customers succeed. This could be chasing down a tricky authentication issue, building a new or extending an existing integration, or simply fixing small bugs in our integrations or dashboard. You are expected to commit code yourself
  • You will collaborate with the Development Team to maintain a high level of context about various parts of our codebase and coordinate with the team to ensure high-priority issues are addressed promptly.
  • Keep track of customer promises and requests, utilizing systems for timely follow-up as needed.
  • You will work with product management to translate your knowledge of customer problems into product insights to shape the direction of Kombo’s product.
  • You will create re-usable collateral, best practices & tools within the Customer Success team

Why Kombo

Joining Kombo means becoming part of a highly dedicated and skilled team focused on interesting technical challenges. Your work will significantly impact a tech product used by CTOs and engineering teams, and the whole team will celebrate your wins. You will be part of a caring team. You will work with a modern, yet robust, tech stack and we encourage you to keep up to date and bring new additions to the stack. With new challenges (we're looking to 2.5-3x next year!), you're assured of growth and progress.

In addition, we offer competitive salaries, shares in the company, and a caring community. We're serious about good communication and eliminating frustrating politics. We provide food, drinks, and public transport tickets for your everyday needs. As a dedicated professional striving toward excellence and meaningful impact, you will be home at Kombo.

About Us

Kombo was started in the Summer of 2022 when we were accepted into Y-Combinator and rapidly grew from just four founders to a team of 12 strong. We are already profitable and expanding the team in response to the high demand for our service.

Our product enables software companies to offer integrations to HR tools for their customers. These companies integrate with our unified API to provide dozens of integrations straight out of the box. We proudly serve well-known companies such as Talent.com, Moss, HeyJobs, Hackajob, and FreeNow, and have positioned ourselves as the leading European provider of such technology. In addition, we have some of the best partners and investors in our industry, as the Plaid CTO and the Indeed founder.

Kombo is not for you if

  • Your preferred work environment consists primarily of remote work/home office
  • You're in search of a more laid-back, less demanding workplace.
  • You are a beginner in need of extensive training and support

Looking forward to hearing from all interested candidates who want to be part of building something impactful.

Disclaimer We can only relocate candidates that are in the EU.

About Kombo

Kombo builds a unified API for HR, payroll and recruiting systems. We're working with companies of all sizes - from Fortune 500 companies down to early stage startups - to help them integrate dozens of software vendors within a few days instead of months.

Instead of having to get their hands on a sandbox environment, build the integration code and figure out the edge cases dozens of times, they can only once use a well documented and clean abstraction provided by Kombo.

We grew from 0 to 50+ customers over the last months and are looking for skilled engineers to help us improve and scale our product
