👋 Who is Kula and what do we do?

Hey there! We're Kula. We automate the business side of building a law firm- letting lawyers focus on the law!

Since the start of the pandemic, the number of law firms in the US has increased by 13,000. The next 2 years are set to be even bigger.

Our mission is to enable this revolution. We’re doing this together with an incredible set of early adopters. These lawyers are building their own law firms, after leaving world-leading organisations like Allen & Overy, Atrium, Carey Olson, Clifford Chance, Credit Suisse, IBM, K&L Gates, Fish & Richardson, Slaughter & May. We just graduated the W22 batch of Y-Combinator having grown our recurring revenue 18% week-on-week during the batch. We’ve raised our seed round and are now expanding our tech team!

We are currently building out our web app and suite of automation tools, so that we can revolutionise this 5000 year old industry!

🔥 So what will I do?

As an engineer you will be working directly with our CTO, you'll create and iterate on technical projects:

• Design & build core features for Kula's Web App and backend services
• Ideate on new features for the product
• Make architectural decisions to help Kula scale
• Write sustainable, testable, high-quality, high-performance code.
• Collaborate with teammates through planning, pair programming, code review, and testing.

If you want we'd also love to involve you in hiring, management and whatever other early startup operations you're interested in!

1. Intro Call with our CTO Saaras- 30min chat about the position, your background, your motivation and all the initial questions you might have.

3. Team Meet with Saaras, Nelson and one of our advisers- we want to get to know you and you probably want to get to know us, so we can make sure that we'll all be thrilled to work together.

4. Offer will be made and you'll join Kula on our journey!
