About the role

Overview

Love TikTok and looking to gain skills at a high-growth ed tech startup? Kunduz (YC S'18) is looking for a creative social media intern who can bring ideas to support our US expansion team! Interns will be assisting in the company’s social media marketing and content creation initiatives to support growth and global expansion. You will learn to identify organic growth strategies to increase brand awareness and user acquisition, and then bring them to life! If you are looking for an opportunity to get an inside look at what it takes to build a startup, then this is the perfect next step in your journey – this exciting and fast-paced role will provide you with opportunities to work directly alongside our leadership team on critical initiatives.

This is a paid position - additionally, we will provide recommendation letters, industry training, and more. If you can get credit from your school, we will provide the necessary documents as well. Positions are between 10 to 20 hours per week but will depend on the number of hours needed to complete course credit. The internship is going to be fully remote, however, candidates will need to verify they can accommodate our meeting schedule, which includes our international teams in Turkey and India. Work schedules are otherwise flexible and will be set at the beginning of the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the management team and organic social team to develop brand initiatives, social media content production and campaigns
  • Ideate, film, and edit TikTok videos to publish on Kunduz' account weekly
  • Refine KPIs and leverage video analytics to measure reach and user acquisition
  • Build, develop and nurture influencer partnerships
  • Identify creative new ways to engage students through our social channels and document offline growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • Positive, can-do attitude and desire to learn
  • Open-minded individual willing to share ideas and work on a variety of teams and projects
  • Passionate about education/edtech & democratizing access to education
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent worker who can handle ambiguity in tasks
  • Organized and can commit to deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Google Drive, Microsoft Office, iMovie or video editing app

Additional Information

  • $16/hour
  • Must have access to a laptop / computer
  • 10-20 hours a week
  • Applicants can be located anywhere but must be able to accommodate an international meeting schedule
