Job Overview

We are looking for a Credentialing Specialist to join our growing team. As the Credentialing Specialist, you will have the opportunity to support the credentialing processes for all our healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with industry standards, state regulations, and payer requirements. You will work closely with the Clinical, HR, and Compliance teams to ensure that all providers are properly credentialed and meet Luna Joy's high standards for quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing process for all healthcare providers.
  • Ensure that all provider applications are accurately completed, submitted, and processed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state regulations, payer requirements, and industry standards related to credentialing.
  • Collaborate with Clinical, HR, and Compliance teams to address any credentialing issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of provider credentials, certifications, and licenses.
  • Assist with developing and implementing policies and procedures to streamline the credentialing process.
  • Maintain updated credentialing files to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines.
  • Assist and support credentialing inquiries from providers, payers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the credentialing function.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare credentialing, with a strong understanding of payer and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency in credentialing software and databases.
  • Passion for women’s mental health and a commitment to making a positive impact.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting.
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification.
  • Familiarity with telehealth provider credentialing processes.

  • HR Screen:

  • Second Phase with Hiring Manager:
    Candidates who pass the HR screen will move on to an interview with the Hiring Manager.   • Offer Stage:

  • Onboarding & Training:
    Once the offer is accepted, the onboarding process begins. LunaJoy is a telemental health platform that is specialized in women's mental health through the lifespan to include adolescence, pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, miscarriage, loss, perimenopause. We combine services including psychotherapy, medication evaluations, nutritional psychiatry, and mind-body interventions under one telehealth roof. We work to integrate directly into OB offices and health systems to access patients where they are already receiving care.
