Atoms is a product first company and we believe all great businesses get to invent a great product first and everything else follows. We launched Atoms publicly in June 2019, to make a shoe that people would want to wear every day, and build an engaging community. Since then, we added over 100,000 customers, responded to the pandemic by making/donating over half a million masks. We design and make our own products, do our own operations and logistics. Our customers love our products, and the vision for the brand. Humans of New York recently did an in depth story on our co-founders’ journey to building Atoms, that was read by millions of people around the world.
We have major new products and customer experiences launches coming in the next few months. This is where you come, a thoughtful leader to grow Atoms' email/sms marketing strategies and to develop strong loyalty and retention. We are setting ambitious goals on product, growth and customer experience and looking for someone who can take ownership to build lifecycle marketing as a strong growth engine. This is not a general DTC growth role.

WHO YOU ARE
You create unique and relevant content to engage customers: Your primary stakeholders are our existing customers - these are the people who started the Atoms community. Your job is to nurture our relationship with our customers - thinking through what communication is relevant to them at any given time.
You’re resourceful + adaptable: You know how to get work done. You don’t wait until someone tells you how to do something, you go out and try to figure it out. You raise your hand as soon as you’re blocked. At the end of the day, you move quickly to execute against ambitious goals, all while knowing you have a team of support behind you.
You reflect the Atoms’ brand values: As the owner of our retention channels, you are the voice of the Atoms brand to our core community. This means you will be representing the Atoms brand, its founders, and all that they stand for.
You must approach this role with both brand values and human connection in mind - setting clear guidelines for how we comport ourselves with our community and following through on those standards.
You’re data-driven: Not only can you build a wildly creative content calendar, but you also value the importance of measuring your success. You can set baselines and goals for yourself in your work growing the email and SMS channels.
You help build company culture: This is just another area where you can make a significant impact. From participating in company events to employee appreciation initiatives, you will be a critical part of building and celebrating company culture.
Qualifications: 3-5 years of managing email and SMS, ideally in a DTC environment Proven track record of creative email and SMS marketing - thinking outside the traditional email and SMS content Experience setting up lifecycle marketing campaigns triggered by user action Demonstrated understanding of Email and SMS KPIs to measure and benchmark performance Experience developing hypotheses and then testing them with measured approaches like A/B testing Ability to effectively manage timelines and coordinate internal and external teams to deliver results Outstanding communication skills and ability to create strong relationships across functions and geographies Familiarity with Klaviyo is a plus, but not required

Atoms is a small yet nimble team. We looking for someone who enjoy following customer journey, copy writing, testing and fast shipping. Someone who uses data and story telling to optimize, iterate and scale. Highly discipline, organized and take complete ownership.
Our interview process is consist of following steps,
Phone screening ( 30-40 min) Case Study for technical screening Interview with the founder ( 1 hr ) Interview with an advisor ( 1 hr ) Interview with Atoms team members ( 1-2 hrs) After first two interview, sometime we cut short with a 'no hire'. We like to move fast to save time for you and us.
