About the role

At Memfault we’re shaping the future of hardware with the first DevOps solution for IoT devices. We’re looking for an ambitious, highly motivated Customer Operations Specialist to found our Customer Support team.

Started by founders with decades of hardware experience from Oculus, Fitbit, Pebble and Intel, our small and tight-knit team is backed by fantastic investors like YCombinator, Partech Partners, and Uncork Capital. We are growing fast, and with your help will support more great companies like Bose, Logitech, and Lyft.

As the first member of our Customer Support Team, you’ll be responsible for how we increase customer happiness efficiently as the business scales. You will design, build, and implement the systems and processes for our customer support strategy.In this role, you will work cross-functionally with our Product, Account Management, Developer Experience, and Engineering teams.

You Will:

  • Deliver technical support for cutting edge IoT companies with product-based issues
  • Achieve expert working knowledge of Memfault’s products and features
  • Provide customized recommendations and solutions to customers on complex issues in user-friendly ways
  • Identify, prioritize and communicate areas we should invest that will enable frictionless engagement for our users with the product — including but not limited to features, documentation, enablement
  • Build systems to prioritize and communicate customer reported issues internally and triage them to the correct team
  • Build systems to prioritize and communicate customer product feedback to the Product team
  • Invest in colleagues and give coaching and advice when you see an opportunity for improvement
  • Develop and circulate best practices that up-level this team
  • Have a major impact on our brand, our culture, our product, and our business
