Full-Stack Software Engineer

What we're looking for

Mentum is seeking a talented individual who is infinitely curious, meticulous and driven. You'll partner with our CTO and Founding Engineers to help us build the future of digital investing in Latin America. This is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact on financial inclusion in a region where 98% of a population has never been exposed to investments products in the past. You'll have the opportunity to work on robust and complex Fintech systems, develop core infrastructure and have tremendous ownership of the architecture and design of our stack. As a founding team member you will have the opportunity to help us shape the vision and the direction of the company.

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable systems
• Drive integrations with broker-dealer and fintech partners
• Design, build, test and deploy an embedded API and widget system
• Construct APIs with technology like REST, OpenAPI
• Develop micro-services and apply container technologies like Docker & Kubernetes
• Use best practices for testing, automation and deployment
• Set a high bar for execution, both in terms of quality and speed
• Work on frontend dashboards with NodeJS

Who you are

• Bachelors Degree in CS or related field, or experienced as a backend engineer
• Experience in distributed systems
• Deep understanding of backend infrastructure
• Attention to detail, proven record of shipping features on time
• Organized and self-sufficient

Nice to haves

• Worked in fintech
• Experience with ledgers / fintech databases
• Experience with Python (or Java)
• Experience with Django
• Experience with Docker and AWS
• Helped build REST APIs (for internal or external user)
• Worked with OpenAPI
