We are Mighty Buildings, a venture-backed Series B construction technology company based in Oakland, CA, that is innovating the construction industry by creating beautiful, affordable, and sustainable homes using 3D-printing, robotics, and automation.


A highly motivated Social Media Manager who is a creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers. That passion comes through as she/he/they engages with customers on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of turning fans into customers, and turning customers into advocates. As a Social Media Manager, you’ll be tasked with administering the company’s social media marketing and advertising. You’ll have the amazing opportunity to be an early hire at a Series B-stage startup that’s rapidly growing and defining a new multi-billion-dollar industry, and work alongside an all-star team.


  • Design and implement a social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer success to ensure brand consistency
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
  • Write clear and compelling copy to describe Mighty Buildings’ products and services tailored to the appropriate target customer segments and user personas
  • Propose A/B tests for messaging and community engagement
  • Work closely with the customer success team to identify the key points of frustration or confusion for users and propose solutions
  • Support and execute content writing on marketing and sales enablement collateral (email marketing, sales brochures etc)
  • Conduct competitive research to identify our strong and weak points
  • Apply SEO principles where necessary to maximize reach to our target audience


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing. Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media. (Give links to profiles as examples)
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
  • Enjoys a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem relevant to the company’s field
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written, audio and video format
  • Exceeds at building and maintaining sales relationships, online and off.
  • Practices superior time management
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)
  • Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research
  • Is proficient in and/or certified in Google Analytics
  • Understand how OKR and scrum works
  • Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution
  • Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situations and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
