About the role


We’re looking for a Growth  Marketing Manager to join our Growth team. In this role, you will help lead Modern Treasury to the forefront of payment operations at some of the largest companies in North America. 

We are looking for a  Growth Marketing Manager to lead end-to-end growth efforts within our SEM, Paid Social, and Display channels to drive growth efforts. Direct experience in managing SEM is required.

In this role, you will identify, prioritize, and implement critical Paid Marketing initiatives. You will forecast, measure, analyze, and report on the impact of your projects and experiments to both the Growth and Executive teams. Additionally, you will collaborate with our product, sales, and marketing organizations to optimize funnel performance and refine lead quality. You will collaborate with designers, copywriters, agencies, and other partners to launch and iterate on your campaigns and web properties.

We are looking for an individual with the winning mix of creative and analytical energy; a detail-oriented mindset; comfort working across multiple concurrent workstreams; facility with technical concepts; ability to flourish in a fast-paced startup environment; and wholehearted empathy for our customers and their users. You are a clear, concise thinker who writes excellent campaign briefs, and you can produce, handle, and adhere to a budget. 


During your first week you will:

  • Onboard with our team

  • Develop an understanding of our customers and user types

  • Read our favorite industry primers 

  • Become a master in our app and API

  • Build an understanding of our brand positioning, sales process, customer stories and programs that are on-brand for Modern Treasury

  • Review Modern Treasury’s experiment record and backlog

During your first six weeks you will:

  • Assume role as primary lead for SEM efforts and coordinate with internal designers, content writers, and product teams to consistently scale and refine our lead generation.

  • Research, prioritize, budget, and launch your first growth experiments within SEM. 

  • Develop tooling and analytical framework to measure performance of your first experiments

  • Join prospect and customer conversations to better understand our buyer personas and product-market fit

During your first 12 weeks you will:

  • Drive strategic goal-setting tied to SEM, Paid Social, and other Display channels, further refining how these channels act as self-propagating Growth Loops for our company

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to strategize on social content for social and display channels (e.g. Product Marketing, Content, Brand, Sales).

  • Scope work to streamline analytics and reporting on paid marketing efforts

  • Help to develop Growth team working norms (e.g., experiment prioritizations, experiment performance reviews, partner management guidelines) 

  • Present on your initial growth experiment learnings to the executive team with quantified metrics on impact


  • 2-4+ years experience working on paid marketing with a demonstrable understanding of performance best practices

  • 2+ years focused on developing and optimizing lead acquisition strategies on SEM channels

  • B2B SaaS experience preferred (not required)
