ModernLoop aims to be the recruiting infrastructure that powers recruiting operations at every company.

What you will be doing:

As an early member of our team, you'll collaborate with our co-founders and the entire ModernLoop team to ideate, develop features, and create whole product areas. As we continue to build ModernLoop and rapidly grow our customer base, you'll be partnering with other engineers/customers to ensure we're building out systems that can scale. 

In this role, you will conceptualize, design, build and ship the backend services and infrastructure underpinning ModernLoop. You will be continuously learning new tech and skills, and this role would be best suited for somebody who thrives in this kind of environment!

Our tech stack:

ModernLoop uses Java and Armeria microservice framework. Our infrastructure is built on AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

What you bring:

• 2+ years of experience building backends for web applications
• Experience with functional or imperative programming languages -- e.g., Java, Go, Python, C, etc…
• Experience with monitoring systems, release engineering, and core deployment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a bias for action
• Self-­awareness, a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and empathy
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals. 
• Completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR have relevant training, fellowship, or work experience.

Bonus points:

• Experience with Dev-ops, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, or PostgreSQL
• Experience with any of our integration partners: Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, Greenhouse, Lever
• The Git workflow, including pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD systems

Salary Range, Additional Compensation, and Benefits

$130,000-165,000 + stock options
