About the role
Okteto provides a local development experience for cloud applications. In a world of ever-emerging technologies, the number of tools to manage cloud-native applications becomes more overwhelming every year. This vastly increases the cognitive load for developers, decreases their productivity and forces them to become experts in areas different from their own. With Okteto, you code locally in your favorite IDE and Okteto takes care of updating your application in your development environment to provide continuous feedback as you code. No commit, build, push, or deploy required.
A Good Fit: You're comfortable working with a remote team. You have solid experience in a startup and supporting the needs of a growing sales organization. You have experience with technical pre-sales or as a professional in the field of information technology You have a good vision for your function and work well with others You have solid experience with the DevOps You have experience with microservices, writing Dockerfiles, installing and managing Kubernetes, and using Public Clouds. Nice to have as a Solutions Architect: Technical presentation and communication skills Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle and DevOps Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment Experience with modern software development or operations and their associated technologies Experience developing Cloud Native applications Experience with public clouds, cloud computing, and related technologies and practices B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience Ability and willingness to travel if needed
What you will be doing as a SA: Engage with customers, both onsite and remote, in a technical consultancy and advisor role during the pre-sales process while providing technical assistance and solution guidance. In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue targets through the adoption of Okteto. With comprehensive knowledge of the Okteto platform and associated technologies, educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of Okteto while participating in discussions throughout the organization to ensure successful Okteto deployment. Guide technical evaluations via POC/POV ownership, RFP/audit support, and workshop design. Build deep relationships with people within customer environments to enable them to be Okteto advocates. Serve as the customer advocate to other Okteto teams, including Product Development, Sales, and Marketing. Continuously improve your professional skills with a focus on personal mastery and team learning through activities such as training, reading and seeking mentorship from others. Maintain specialty competency in one or more technologies related to Okteto's market focus through activities such as training, certification and creation of working examples for reuse internally and by customers and partners.

About the interview
Please Note: Salary range posted is for specific for UK, and is the total Salary listed that is a 75/25 split (25% of the range listed is commission based). For any location outside of the UK there is a geo specific percentage for the range. IE: Spain will be .59 of the base point for UK.
