About the role

There are 22M+ Americans who suffer from treatment-resistant mental health conditions, meaning they’ve failed two or more conventional treatments. Our mission is to further innovative mental treatments (ranging from FDA-approved psychedelic medicine to neuromodulation) for those who are suffering the most. We do this by empowering providers, improving patient care, and accelerating research. Our electronic medical records software is used by mental health doctors and their patients. We analyze the data to help the doctors deliver better care and also offer insights to help research and development of new treatments that actually work.

We are looking for mission-driven, passionate software engineers to join the team.

Backed by top-tier investors (e.g. General Catalyst, Future Ventures, Tiger Global, Y Combinator, Jerry Yang, Joshua Kushner, etc.), Osmind’s team consists of mission-driven experts from across tech and healthcare. We're a tight-knit group of intellectually rigorous, highly collaborative, deeply caring, and fun team members. We've been featured in publications such as Forbes and Crunchbase.

We are looking for our first dedicated DevOps engineer. This is an exciting foundational role to help us set best practices and systems for better DevOps practices.

Note that our engineering team is remote. We provide relocation for candidates who want to relocate to SF and join us in-person in our office. Remote candidates will be flown in to HQ for their first two weeks for in-person onboarding!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop processes to improve upon existing Osmind platform infrastructure, build and deployment process, and security configurations

  • Taking proactive steps to create tooling to improve developer productivity

  • Continue to build out and maintain our infrastructure as we continue to scale

  • Mentor our team to reliably and efficiently operate our core services

  • Be involved in on-call rotation for production incident response and general engineering support

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of DevOps experience

  • Experience working with AWS services such as: Cognito, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, EC2, RDS, Aurora

  • Experience working on CI/CD pipelines w/ multiple environments

    • Including build and release systems with short (1 week) release cycles
  • Experience with observability, monitoring and logging tools, e.g. Datadog/Sentry

  • Experience with automation and/or infrastructure as code (e.g. ansible, cloudformation)

  • Strong experience in one of the following programming languages

    • Bash, Typescript/NodeJS, Golang
  • An attention to the finest details: this software is critical to coordinating healthcare, and the data we produce is private and highly regulated

    • You have a strong interest and experience in developing resilient, fault-tolerant systems that our providers and patients trust
    • You are passionate about data privacy and want to help us build systems that don't just meet compliance/legal requirements, but are representative of best-in-class security infrastructure
  • Passion for fixing our broken mental healthcare system

  • Startup experience to help you thrive in our fast-paced environment

What we offer:

  • Tremendous growth opportunity and autonomy given we're a high-growth startup. Our philosophy is to set team members up for career and personal growth

  • The ability to build something that actually moves the needle on our generation's biggest crisis, mental healthcare. Serve treatment-resistant mental health patients (1/3-1/2 of mental health patient population) who are the ones who need the most help. Contribute to one of the most innovative areas of medicine: frontier neuropsychiatry

  • An all-star team that is intellectually rigorous, highly collaborative, deeply caring, and likes to have fun. We also value diversity of thought and background

  • Flexible working hours to match your style and remote-friendly lifestyle

  • Competitive, upside-heavy compensation, healthcare, 401K matching, and office perks

  • Generous relocation bonus for those who would like to move to San Francisco and join us and the business teams in-office
