The Opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on senior full-stack engineer to help form the founding engineering team. You’ll be working directly with the CEO and have an opportunity to scale with us, including receiving equity at an early stage with a rapidly growing company.

We're looking for an engineer who will help build out our core systems, starting with our web platform. You'll be building web components, visualizations, and integrations, and contributing to our front-end system, including visualizing data, styling components, assisting in wireframes, and turning mockups into deployable code.

As a part of this role, you'll also get exposed to the world of next-generation distributed hardware systems, clean technologies, and the financial metrics and calculations driving these projects forward.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the CTO in the development of tech product roadmap and feature planning
• Assist in code reviews and further scaling of the founding technology team
• Take ownership of the front-end web framework using React.js / Redux / Firebase
• Visualize internal and 3rd party financial data using charting libraries in React
• Work with UI/UX designers to implement visualizations in D3.js or ApexCharts
• Turn wireframes and mockups into deployable code
• Update older components to Typescript and move to functional components as needed
• Develop new features and interactive web components using React and Fomantic (Semantic) UI
• Maintain code and write unit tests to ensure quality and minimize errors
• Make sure our web app is performant across multiple browsers

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ES6 syntax and Typescript, class and functional components with React
• Experience with state management systems (ideally Redux), with thunks and sagas
• Ability to write well-documented, clean and modern Javascript code
• Knowledge of functional programming
• Ability to interface with internal and external users and translate their requirements into specifications
• Bonus: Working with visualization and mockup tools like Sketch or Adobe XD or Figma
