PermitFlow's mission is to streamline and simplify construction permitting in the $1.6 trillion United States construction market. Our software reduces time to permit, supporting permitting end-to-end including permit research, application preparation, submission, and monitoring.

We’ve raised $5.5m+ led by Initialized Capital, Y Combinator, and the founders and executives from Zillow, PlanGrid, Thumbtack, Opendoor, Bluebeam, Uber, Twitter, HubSpot, Procore, Yelp, Brex, and more.

Our team is remote first and consists of architects, structural engineers, permitting experts, and workflow software specialists, all who have personally experienced the pain of permitting.

What You'll Do

As PermitFlow’s Head of Marketing, you will lead marketing strategy and growth efforts in a rapidly growing B2B construction startup. You will also direct hiring and building out the marketing team over time. Your role will primarily focus on:

  • Growth Marketing: Launch, track, and optimize programs/campaigns across multiple channels to move prospects and customers down the funnel.
  • Ability to build out the marketing function: Expand and build upon our existing processes, and workflows.
  • Reporting & analytics - set up dashboards in Hubspot to help us measure, optimize and scale our marketing efforts. Leveraging insights on marketing efforts will be key to unlocking this next stage of revenue growth for our business
  • Product Marketing - Gain a deep understanding of our audience, develop our positioning and messaging, and communicate about the product and its benefits to our audience.
  • Driving content strategy & branding – Own the content calendar and tell the story of our brand and company in order to engage prospects, customers, candidates, and partners.

The ideal candidate for this role is both strategic and an executor. We are looking for someone with breadth across all of marketing and depth in growth marketing and product marketing.

Qualifications & Fit

  • 5+ yrs. experience in B2B marketing with experience in growth and product marketing
  • Experience at a tech startup that has gone through scale
  • Ability to hire and manage a lean marketing team
  • Experience managing contractors, agencies, and freelancers
  • Experience + expertise in Hubspot (our CRM of choice)
  • Own our end-to-end ARR model, focusing on top of funnel, conversion, and expansion
  • Experience partnering with a sales team in a top-down sales GTM motion
  • Understands how to align full-funnel B2B content across verticals and personas
  • Experience and/or passion for the construction and building permit space
