Founding Full Stack Software Engineer (NYC Only)
About the role
We are looking for a talented, motivated and self-starting backend/full-stack engineer to join the Pigeon team and work with us out of our beautiful Midtown office. You will be the first engineering hire, which means you will help shape our stack, processes and culture. Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a fullstack or backend developer
- Experience with REST API development
- Able to work in a fast paced early startup environment
- Able to take full ownership of projects including scoping, system design, implementation, QA, deployment, and maintenance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Nice to have:
- Prior startup and/or SaaS experience
- Experience with encryption and transfer of data
- Experience with any part our stack

We are a team of 4 who previously worked at Google, Deloitte and Kirkland and Ellis.
Funding Status
We closed a $3.5M Seed round that will enable us to scale our team and provide 3+ years of runway. Prior to this, we received Pre-Seed funding from Y Combinator as part of the Winter 2023 batch.
